Golf course Black Stork, A PGA Golf Course in Veľká Lomnica is characterized as parkland and flat nad all golfers with green card can play here, not only members of the Lomnicky golf club that is based in the golf resort.
The history of the Black Stork golf course is dated back to 1999 when the local driving range with a temporary clubhouse were inaugurated. Six years later golfers started to play on nine holes and other nine holes were added to them one year later. In September 2007 the next, 3rd nine-hole coures was opened. At your disposal there are: 27 hole professional golf course, covered driving range, two putting greens, chipping area, 3 PAR academy, Professional golf trainers, indoor golf simulator, golf equipment rental and golf shop.
The course itself has parameters which satisfy all golfers. There are four or five tees on each hole. Its par is 72+36 with a classical set of holes of par 3, 4 and 5. You can play three combinations of golf courses – Taylor & Braid (length from yellow teeing grounds is 5 805 m, from red 4 909 m), Braid & Vardon (length from yellow teeing grounds is 5 539 m, from red 4 638 m), Taylor & Vardon (length from yellow teeing grounds is 5 650 m, from red 4 769 m).
The rating of the course shows that it is not very easy course. First four holes prove it – there are water hazards straggled and biting in the paths. Nevertheless, even the other holes are not depleted. The longest hole is Nr. 24 in Vardon course, par 5, 483, or 429 metres long and, on the other hand, the shortest hole is Nr. 15 on the Braid course, par 3, which is 158, or 82 metres long. The most difficult hole on Taylor course is Nr. 6, on Braid course Nr. 12 and on the Vardon course the most difficult hole is Nr. 20. Hole Nr. 22 on the Vardon course has an island green.
Entry to practice areas – driving range, chipping green, 2x putting green is free of charge. 3 PAR academy is primarily for golf school and hotel guests. It is used for training the play with limited time or to practise short strokes.

The very first golf course in the Kingdom of Hungary was established in High Tatras near Grandhotel in Tatranská Lomnica in 1906. It did not last long, as it faded during the World War II.
