One of the royal towns lies approximately 50km from Poprad. The core of Stará Ľubovňa is St. Nicholas Square with eyecatching Church of St. Nicholas from year 1280. Its Baroque interior hides several works of art. On a calcite cliff above Stará Ľubovňa proudly stands stone castle built in early 14th century.
Last year, the place and castle brewery were reconstructed. A different exposition below the castle is created in museum of folk architecture with an outstanding and precious rustic church built in 1883. The biggest part of the exposition is made of wooden houses from 20th century together with administrative and technical buildings.
A new exposition in Hniezdne near Stará Ľubovňa is called NESTVILLE PARK. It offeres an interesting and unconventional historical view on production of spirits and crafts connected to treatment and storage of alcohol. One of the biggest carvings, which took 3 years to finish is in the tasting room.
