Spiš castle is the biggest castle complex in central Eupe and belongs to the List of world cultural and natural heritage UNESCO. Its first structure goes back to 11th/12th century. The most valuable part is the upper castle with former gothic and renaissance housings of owners and inhabitants of the castle. Today, they serve as outlook space offering beautiful vistas of wide areas.
The tour of the castle takes approximately 90 minutes. Access road to the castle leads from “Spišské Podhradie”, which is approximately 40 km from Poprad. It is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
