Wine Route of Malé Karpaty goes through the biggest wine-growing area in Slovakia and spreds from the south-estern hills of Malé Karpaty from Bratislava to Trnava. It is brimmed with wine bars, wine cellars, gastronomic specialities, and events. In the heart of the area are old free royal towns Svätý Jur, Pezinok, and Modra with Slovak National Collection of Wine and Slovak folk majolica. During the years many events take place here, such as wine tasting, days of open cellars or grape harvest. Besides those who love wine and good food, also visitiors interested in history, architecture, or hiking will enjoy themselves. The biggest cellars are the Red Stone Castle that also holds a permanent exhibition in museum, falcon yard, and regular events such as historical festival, antiques flea market. The mosaic of this beautiful region is completed by a unique natural occurrence – The Driny Cave.
